Frankly, Carl Cox ripped oakenfold a new asshole. I finally made it passed the mob into see oakenfold, and he bored me to death. If by playing new tracks, you meant he ripped tracks that digweed has been caning for months, then I guess he spun new tracks...
Cox was definitely the better show, the man never stopped moving, he was straight pumped up, and completely wrecked me with non-stop bangin techno and house.
I thought oakenfold was bullshit, he didn't do a goddamn thing for 7 minutes between records but hold his hands up like he was a god or something. FYI, that wasn't d:fuse running around like a crackhead, that was Ian Masterson, Oaky's manager. He was all over the board stylisticly, didn't keep any sort of consistent tone.
I heard he spun the prohpet at the end...what a surprise there.
I really wanted Oakenfold to be good, I am by no means an oaky-hater, but that was his last chance...boo.

I went to area one in new york yesterday and I couldn't agree with you more. I have seen CC before and I knew he would tear the place up, and he definitely did. I love how animated and interactive he is when he's spinning. That was my first time seeing oakie live and he started off with kosheen- hide u, so I figured the set was going to be pretty good. After that he played maybe 2-3 more good tracks, but in between those 2-3 he was boring as hell! And wat a arrogant bastard, perfecto everywhere and his stupidass on the screen, I felt like smackin him. God he is not...
