3 oscs to get a 303 sound? The 303 only has one oscillator. It would be better to find out the shape of the raw 'saw' and 'square' waves, and the filter characteristics.
You could do it in a good sampler. Just find a sample of an unfiltered 303 with no res, cut out one cycle of the base waveform, load it into the sampler, loop it, and set your filter to 12dB/octave. I think. (Is it 12? 16? I can't remember.) As long as your filter can self-oscillate, you should start to get close.

Tequila, what are you using to make this. Are you using a tb-303? |
That I am. Although I only have access to it for a short time, so I need to make the most of it.
Having a play last night, I found a large amount of tuned noise was added when running it through distortion. The noise changed timbre in time with the flashing lights... When not in 'run' mode, the noise disappeared. Anyone know how to minimise this?
Also, it's been retro-fitted. Although I'm getting a midi signal at my MIDI->CV unit, I can't get a note out of the TB303. Does it have to be in any particular mode for this to work?
