Finally Learn Some Music Theory!

This site is so great I just had to create a new thread... it's parts 1-4 of an 8 part book coming out in the spring on "how music really works." - very simple to follow guides to chord progressions, structure, harmony, melody, theory all FREE on this website..

definitly still take lessons - theory classes and piano lessons are the two best things to help you're composing technique.. after that you just need to learn producing.. which can be just as hard

Screw piano lessons.

But yeah, the actual theory classes I've been taking at college are immensely helpful. Even just knowing scales is a huge help.

That link is nice, though...

I kid you not, If you're serious about composing any type of music, theory will only give you half of what you need to know, the rest will come from piano lessons.

What the fudge? *shakes his head and rolls his eyes* - Guitar is to Rock, & Blues, what Piano is to Electronica, Classical, & Rap
