A buddy of mine got into the techno/trance scene only in the last two years or so, so I got to thinking that there are allot of really good songs over the years that he has missed. I wanted to put together a compilation cd with the top 5 tracks per year since 1993. Now since one of the first techno/trance songs I ever heard was Da Hool's Meet her at the love parade, a) I don't really know the best songs before about 1998, and b) My taste tends more towards hardcore trance then the more classic trance, and I'm really only looking for more classic style trance songs. I was looking for some help off of this forum to help make the list. So far I have about (edit: many more then 4 now) of the songs decided upon, and please post your opinions here for top five in a given year (1993-2003). As I make more decisions, if anyone is interested, I will update this pot with new decisions.

Basically the only rules are:
-no mixes, only originals
-electronic and not an extreme genre (no d'n'b, no happy hardcore etc)

for an angel and cafe del mar have got to be there somewhere IMO, not sure what year though, 1997 for the first one? delerium - silence, 2001?
