Paul's right though, this is what was happening to Napster when it started to go downhill.

I hope AudioGalaxy figures something out, or we will have to go back to sharing just a little here and there.

I'm pretty sure e moct of the TA's have a place to get new tunes. We might have to get back to real peer-to-peer sharing.

hey gguys its not happened yet!!!dont be all sad look at the positive things...ag has NEVA been mentioned on the radio...its no where near as popular as napster was..and if it does shut down itll be like a year at least yet be happy ppli think it might be ok..and if its not there will always be somewhere else

yeah thats the idea...u can still get any forbidden song by simply altering the search terms...
i dont think its the decline of AG ... as martijn says...its not even half as popular as napster in media.

it'll probably take another yr for AG to stir a controversy.

I disagree. Theoretically speaking, we make up all of our sources of music.... audiogalaxy just acts as the liason.

AG could shut down tomorrow, we'd still find a way. All we have to do is the same thing we did when Napster closed copyrighted music: we just all agreed to go some place else... that other place was AG. Now, if AG closed down, we'd all agree to go back to Napster (it is still up, and there are still things to be downloaded there....)

I don't know about you guys, but there is not a single song i've downloaded off of AG since i've been on AG that has been closed to downloading due to copyright restrictions.... what are you guys downloading, Britney Spears? Who cares about copyrights, they really don't affect us.... And anyone in the trance/techno scene who does have the copyright restrictions up on AG, i have managed to get around them and find other ways...

Don't really think it's an issue. But this is a good thing.
