Is it me or is online dating a total hoax? I'm not a bad looking guy and don't have a problem meeting people anywhere I go but I've been working alot so I joined up to try it out.

I was talking to some of my girlfriends about how many hits they get and it's insane! They're getting like 200-400 emails a DAY! Then, the girls that I meet up with from the site tell me they don't even read most of their emails. Why even join up if that's the case?

This is not to mention that a bunch of the girls there almost demand that you make more than 150k a year! HA! Golddiggers aside, have you guys tried this crap out and if so, what did you think of it?

My next email reply:
Subject line: "Piles of Money"
Email content: "T'sup? Wanna hang with a rich playboy?"

well obviously girls are gonna get a lot more replies than you because there are a lot of sick perverts out there that want to take advantage of them.

that aside, girls must sort thru all those and pick out a quality person? what do you base that on? if you have 50 emails from average guys that are probably nice, but you only have time to go and date maybe 3-4...then you have to differeniate between them somehow. that's how that shit works...you don't like it...don't do it and meet people in person

I had a friend who met someone through some online dating service. The town he lives in has a population less than 1000, so there aren't a lot of people to meet.

It seemed to work out OK for him. The first person he emailed responded and they've gone out a few times since. I wouldn't use it if you could just go out and meet someone though, it's not a cure for shyness.

Yeah dude...I'm slowly learning that. You gotta feel sorry for the girls though...at least the ones that are there that are genuine. It's almost like a breeding ground for perverts! I had a girl tell me yesterday about some of her emails and it's frightening.

On the flip of this though is the good guys that are trying to meet good girls. Sorta sucks for everyone all around if you ask me.

Not doing that. Just working a grip. I've met some great girls there but no real sparks yet. I'm optimistic but taking it all with a grain of salt. I'd LOVE to meet a Trance Freak there. You guys know how hard it is to find someone into Trance outside of the club scene.

Yeah, it's hard to say whether or not you'd have any more luck online. You might want to give it a try if it doesn't cost to much to join. What's the worst that could happen?

Large online dating services rarely work. You're better off getting dates from local supermarkets... or church.
