The Red Violin

Has anyone seen the movie The Red Violin (1998), with Samuel L. Jackson and Don Mckellar. It is kinda an indy flick I think, I had not heard about it till this year. I dunno why, I am hooked on this fukin' movie. I have seen it like 7 times this year and I still love it. it's very original and different. Anyone got any insight on it?

I've seen it twice. Some of my friends own it and love it but I think it's okay. Then again, I'm very hard to please so....yeah.

*bbjosh- Yes, I play violin. For about 7 years now.

Nice movie, saw it a few years ago - Loved the "Paganini" chapter hehe

Yah, Samuel was in it in the begining and end of the movie I think [during the auction] ?

I've been meaning to see it for quite some time. Lot of recomendations for it, and it sounds pretty interesting.

I wouldn't call it an indy flick...

One of my favorite movies. Back when I was like 10 I played in a duet with the guy who plays all the violin pieces for the soundtrack at a summer music thing. You guys should look up some more of his work, he is absolutely amazing. His name is Joshua Bell.

I play two instruments....the skin flute and the organ (organ = penis). In otherwords, i masturbate profusely.

the movie was quite well done. personally, i believe it's score was the most moving part of the film, the music could actually tell it's own parallel story..
