News have been going around in the Star and rumours abound plenty about the possibility of trading Vince Carter.

Now I've never really been much of a Carter fan and even though I'm overjoyed that there's a good chance that we're finally getting rid of that stiff and whiner, the news of a possible three way trade involving the Knicks and Mavericks makes me wanna throw up. Seriously now.....
Kurt Thomas, Dikembe Mutombo and possibly Josh Howard for Carter??? Give me a freaking break!

I remember a time when there were talks about a 1 for 1 trade involving Kobe Bryant for Carter, and now we've sunk to this?

The thought of Carter going to Dallas is just scary!

Yeah I think at this point the Raptors are pretty much done. I've been a die-hard fan for years and now to see them absolutely throw away the team like this is a complete shame. Like c'mon if you're going to trade Carter, then get an Iverson or a Nash (too late now of course) but he'd be one of the few guys worthy of trading Carter for. No way we'd get a Kobe today but hell there's got to be a lot better than getting Dikembe (Hakeem Pt 2 I predict) or Kurt Thomas or any of those other bottom of the barrel players that essentially you don't build a team around.

We got nothing for a superstar player a few years back so I'd hope they'd have learnt from that but it seems not at this point....

That's exactly what will happen. He will be a superstar eveywhere he goes and especially to a team like Dallas where he won't have to carry the team.

All of a sudden, his "knee" will get all better and he'll start flying again. I can't stand him.

Straight up for Ben Wallace, the true centre we've never had! Well, Ben and a 1st or 2nd round pick too, haha...

I know it can't happen, due to salary rules...but if it could...I'd do it...and take the $$$ savings and replace some of the scoring that we'd lose with a free agent who can stay healthy and motivated.

Carter isn't worth quality anymore, that's the problem.
All his damn 'ouch, I got bumped in the air but *kiss* I'm ok momma' injuries has taken down his stock, the fact he's been trying to control what goes on in the management of the team cuz he's using his 'star' status on the team will only make teams look a little less hard at taking him on. God knows every player that's been traded from our team in the last several years has othing but bad things to say about his attitude. That and the fact he plays 'revolving door' defense.
But don't pick up mutumbo please!!! Dude just sucks. Anyone else but not mutumbo. The knicks have nothing to offer.

I was waiting for this day to come...this guys has talent but nothing else. He is a cry baby, he is heartless and his mommy makes decissions for him. For the last 3 years all I hear from this guy is bitch and bitch and bitch....we need a leader here because we have a good bunch of players...just watch and see, he will become a role player, he is not a superstar anymore...

Agreed. I'd laugh if he's reduced to the calibre of a richard jefferson. Put in for a dunk to wind up the crowd and nothing else. Well that may be unlikely because he doesn't even dunk anymore!
