Stanton have a lot of fellow companies running scared at the moment, thanks to their continuing mission to push forward the boundaries of dj technology (just look at the str8-150s for a good example). Now they have unleashed upon the market a new pair of top quality dj headphones, the dj pro3000s, and have set another benchmark for quality. With 50mm neodynium drivers for clear low end reproduction and superior power handling, the 3000s come with totally flexible earcups and a padded headband for comfort. A 3.5mm connector is included, as is a handy carrying pouch to transport them in. With a wide frequency response for clarity of sound, these headphones have unique features like blue leds which beat in time to the music and passive high and low filters so a dj can personally modify the sound to his/her preference. Forget the rest, give these a test!

Why the hell do I need blue LED's in my headphones to mix?

Makes me realize (again) why I love my Sennheiser HD-25 so much...

I always wondered, how do the HD25's compare to the HD280's? I have the HD280's and love the sound reproduction, comfortable fit and how great they cancel outside noise

ps: lmfao @ stanton.

Stanton lawyer: The outside if VERY different from the MDR700. As you look closely to our 'supposed copy' you will see that there is a HUGE difference in the colour. Also the inside of the DJ pro 3000 is totally different. We added our own quality headphone technology. Therefor we can say that we completely designed the DJ pro 3000 ourselves

Ya well, the sony is only a few bux more expensive and I don't think it's worth to buy that Stanton...

Sony's aren't crap. Neither are those Stanton's, I tried them. However, they are weaker than Sony's... they don't feel as solid.

I don't think that "solid feel" and "Sony" belong in the same sentence.

In sense you're right, but the Stanton's feel like total plastic. That's why I saying that even the Sony's feel solid compared to those.

I haven't really tried the 280's, but I have listened to them once, and they sounded really distorted. I probably had a fucked up copy, and since there was no other copy available, i had to let it go.

After that, I tried the HD25's, and I must say I prefer them over the 280's.

They are lighter, smaller, and sound better (at least a lot better than the fucked up HD280's I listened to... )

It's a matter of personal preference I guess, because I prefer the smaller and lighter headphones (like the HD25's), and most of my co-workers (dj's, anyway) like their headphones a little larger (Pioneer, Sony, etc...).
