as for me, the only 'gear' i got is a midi keyboard so that doesnt really count. though for some reason i notice that remove the dust on it about twice a day and if anyone presses a key without me telling them to do so i get pissed. (even if the only touch it twice softer then i do normally )
so... tell me

my first piece of music hardware was an Alesis QS 6.1 keyboard.. I got it after I was producing for a year and sold it last april and bought my monitors with the $$

My first synth was my Yamaha DX7II-FD. I still have it a use it in just about every track. The basses are a staple in trance. I love it, but I think I will never master it... programming it is a Biatch.
