An interesting read

Kudo's to anyone who can make it through this entire article. It's basically a summary of the events leading up to the Iraq war.

Well, as long as we're spewing left-wing terrorist-sympathizing propaganda which tries to indict the U.S. and Israel as the primary causes of 9/11 (as opposed to radical Islam, which would seem to be the much more obvious and rational choice), we might as well have a looksee at the relevant pieces of history here which have actually dictated U.S. and international policy:

World War IV

And hey, if the hard Left has a serious problem reading any article from a right-wing source, then you should jump at the opportunity to read an actual book from somebody who's really done their homework (570 pages, complete with sources):

The Secret History of the Iraq War

No further comments.

Why do you continuously try to relate Iraq with 9/11 and terrorism? They are separate and mutually exclusive entities. There is no link between the two of them, and there never was. And what a waste of time posting that WW4 article. Why not find an article from a bi-partisan site at least? What makes me laugh the most about the article you posted is that it makes no "real" attempt to explain why the US is so hated. It never mentions the US's unequivocal support for Israel regardless of the crimes it commits. Its simply full of random thoughts that lead to no real conclusions. I could have written a better article in the 3rd grade.

And why haven't you replied to my other posts dipshit? Do you admit defeat so easily? I'm still waiting...

And that book you sited... give me a fucking break. Yossef Bodansky is about as hawkish as anyone in the Dubya administration. Do you think the shit he spews in his books are the whole story? No! it contains only the facts he wants you to hear with his own spin added. Anybody could write a similar book trying to prove a point and the average Joe would buy it because he/she is too lazy to do their own research.

Incorrect. Do I really need to discuss this? Tell me you can actually form an argument against all of the evidence supporting this connection as opposed to just ignoring it or writing it off as "extreme" or "propaganda".

Oh you mean like the ones you posted? You post a radical left-wing site, I'll post a right-wing one. If you want bi-partisan research, why don't you read the 9/11 commission report, which is acknowledged by both political parties as bipartisan?

Oh of course. So it's only a "real" attempt if it's pro-Muslim, anti-Israel, and anti-American. It gives a damn good explanation for why the US is so hated, it's just not an explanation you happen to agree with. If you can give objective reasons not to agree with it, fine, but don't spout this garbage without at least a shred of logic to back it up. I mean honestly, the crimes *Israel* commits? Have you been paying even the slightest attention to what's going on in the middle east right now?

I haven't so far seen anything worth responding to, but maybe I missed them. If they're full of emotionally-charged rhetoric and personal insults like this one, why would I even bother replying?

Oh okay. It stands to reason that if the book were so lousy, someone would have written a half-decent rebuttal, don't you think? Here's a thought, why don't YOU take on that task!

Here's a thought-provoking question: why is it that whenever I make a perfectly rational, cool-headed post with actual evidence, you and others like you erupt in an outbreak of anger and raw emotion? Is that the only way you know how to argue?

If you want me to respond to your arguments, try using a modicum of effort to make rational ones that don't contain any swear words or unsubstantiated America-bashing (or Israel-bashing, since it's been established countless times that Israel to the world of radical Islam is just a pawn in their war against America).

i don't think any two events within international politics/affairs are ever mutually exclusive - world politics are so intricate that nearly everything is a reaction to something else

This happened just down the street from me today... right in the same city that was hit by 9/11. Gee, you would think all these people would be happy about what Bush is doing in the White house. And you would think they would be glad the US kicked Iraq's ass right? Cause after all, Iraq was involved with 9/11, right?

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle....storyID=6097434

Furthermore, straight from the mouth of the 9/11 commission:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3812351.stm

Is that good enough for you? Or do you want one straight from Dubya himself:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3118262.stm

And why are you even bringing up the 9/11 commision report? What does it have to do with Iraq? As I have just proven above there was no link between Iraq and 9/11 and this is STRAIGHT FROM THE 9/11 REPORT! Furthermore, can I do your homework for you and suggest a real book to read. Its called "Plan of Attack" by Bob Woodward. A man who covers the administration inside and out. In it he gives an account from both sides of the political spectrum, but he is inevitably critical of all the "evidence" the administration used to justify their war.

And my original post has a link to a website that outlined the FACTS of what the Bush administration did leading up to the war. Did you even bother reading it? Its factual information, not left-wing dribble. Find me just one point in the timeline thats false. I'm sorry dude, but your too caught up with this left-wing, right-wing thing. This is not about cons versus dems... its about the Bush administration starting a war under false pretenses. Its about the Bush administration sending innocent people to Iraq to fight a war so their rich friends back home can benefit.

And regarding Israel, I think people are going to be forced to watch their pull in the American govt a little more closely. After all, taking out Iraq has always been a prime concern of Israel and the pro-Israel neo-cons in power right now. Do you not find it funny how Israel is now being accused of spying on the US? After all, they did it 20 years ago, is it inconceivable to think that they might be doing it again and trying to pull strings from the inside. Why not read the following if your still not sure:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story...1293126,00.html
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/spyring.html

And back to the neo-cons, I think you might find the following quite interesting. After all, its a right-wing website, so that alone should give you a hard-on. Do some digging and you should be able to find the plans to overthrow Iraq.
http://www.newamericancentury.org/

And one more point... when Sean Hannity writes a book, does anyone write a rebuttal? Or what about Ann Coulter? Dude, people on the right only want to read what the right has to say and vice versa for the left. Let me ask you this question, if Yossef Bodansky's book was so accurate and so factual, then why wasn't it discussed in the media like Bob Woodward's book was?

It may be bipartisan from an american viewpoint but it certainly isnt from an international perspective. Obviously logic would say the international community would have a much more objective opinion about the issue than those directly involved. Im not suggesting the international community has come to an overwhelming concensus one way or the other, im just suggesting you dont use a report out of the united states government as an unequivocable source of 'bipartisan' information.
