though some may doubt this, i really tried to stay as neutral as i could when watching this debate. nevertheless, i really do feel that kerry presented a quite strong image and strenghtened his platform in this debate.

Convincing wise I think Bush spoke more from the heart and Kerry talked more about what he thought America wanted to hear. In the end I think Kerry had more answers than Bush did.

This isn't accurate because I'm still counting, but Bush blinked a number of 1,876,787 times in the debate.

The one thing that got on my nerves was that Bush kept using the phrase "we can't give them mixed messages, that we're in the wrong war, wrong place wrong time." It was definitely hackneyed in this debate.

If you look from a straight debate sense, as in who gave off the stronger impression and who had the best etiquet, Kerry was the decisive victor, there is no doubt about that. And I think Bush was way to redundent in his points. I started finishing his sentences for him because it was the same time and time again. Of course Kerry did that a couple times too, but no way in the extent of Bush.

I think what shook Bush up (and made me laugh) was when Lehrer asked Kerry to clarify the colossal misjudgements and he said "Well, where should I begin?"

Well...the thing is that each candidate was speaking their platform. It can be argued that Bush's "talking from the heart" was also a crowd-pleasing tactic. I guess it just depends on what your views are.
