The sign up for the open beta of this amazing new massive multiplayer online game will soon be open so I was just wondering if any of you TA's are planning on signing up for the beta or even buying this game?

Looks like beta testing is already finished,No?

Yeah the closed beta tests really are finished. But the sign ups for the new round of open beta tests will be open soon, this time a lot more people will get the chance to test the game. The purpose of this is to see how the game and the servers handle a big amount of players.

Ive never signed up for a beta test before. Can you tell me anything about the process?Like are there open time windows to play the game ,like can you only play between 7am and 5pm, Do we have to buy anything to play?

The whole idea of the open beta is that every one who signs up for it will eventually get the chance to play the game for a few weeks, like a demo of some sort. After you sign up you receive an email which tells you your account password/cd key and the link where you can download the beta. After you finish downloading the game you log into the server you choose or the server you were asked to and start playing. If you come by some bugs or other significant problems you must report about that to the game masters or the developers.

I've been checking Blizz's site every day since they announced the open beta. I'm hyped about it.

I might buy it, based on what I think of it while playing the Beta (I'm not sure if everyone who applies can play though).

I'm definitely buying it. This game is so much fun.

You can play whenever you want as long as there isn't a server problem or something.

Ahh, my mistake. I thought you were asking about the retail version. Anyway, all you need to do is download the game (they've been using bittorrent for this).

Omg the time is drawing near, I can feel it. Just check their site! They announced the end of the current beta...

tried for the closed beta, but wasnt lucky enuf
cant wait for open to begin, though i dont know if i will buy it when it goes retail.
Something about paying monthly fee, i will keep thinking iam wasting money whenever i aint playing it.

As a side note, another mmorpg that is created by ex-blizzard staff is a game called "guildwars"
super game, tried it during one of the open beta sessions. Big difference is that it is not going to be on a subscription basis. Though they will release addons that can be purchased every now and again.
Worth checkin out if you feel the same way i do about monthly subscriptions
