about the music discussion forum...

why is it that every time i go there it makes me stoopider? im getting stoopider buy teh secund.

seriously though. all the endless - this music is more technical than that. this music is better than that. classical music is the best cuz none of these synthesiser wimps can arrange for 90 different instruments - its beginning to numb my brain.

so what is it with people that need to reaffirm their love of some type of music by belittling everything else? i think ill stick to the producers forums

Yes, because discussion of music is the last thing we want in the Music Discussion forum.

They're just stating their opinions, and most of them are too stupid to know the difference between a fact and an opinion.

ahh, Arbiter & Radagast, possibly two of the 'best' posters in COR. I think we need to start and arguument between you as the possibilities are endless, and i can't predic thte outcome.. infinite posting or a lock by wicked neo most probable.

anyway, i agree with thread starter to an extent, it all slagging now and it's amking it less fun/boring to read in there. maybe i should switch to trance.nu

It's all due to the trance-whores who can't handle the fact that their precious anthemic musical fluff is slowly losing steam and has become a formulaic cheesefest, ie ASOT. They have problems accepting that people are starting to dislike trance and are listening to other genres, mainly progressive. Therefore, genres are pitted against each other and the flaming starts.

However, I'd say that the New Releases Forum is far worse with all the "OMFG, I DIEEE" posts whoring nothing but the same songs day in and day out.

You're too kind. I appreciate being the first to speak the truth of the matter. He asked about why the music discussion is the way it currently is. I gave my opinion. You obviously don't agree, but whatever. That's how I see it. Ah, the power of coming to your own conclusions and forming your own opinions.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you posted it in the wrong thread. You might recall that the question was:

quote:
so what is it with people that need to reaffirm their love of some type of music by belittling everything else?

You responded:

This wasn't a valid answer to the original question, which was not asking for an opinion, it was asking for a fact. Rather, this was an example of the phenomenon the original poster was complaining about.

He also asked why the MD Forum seems to be making him dumber. That is what I originally responded to, not the last question. My opinion has to do with why I think he is being "dumbened" when he reads the MD Forum. I was also trying to add my 2 cents to the discussion, by telling how I felt on the topic and not necessarily by trying to answer any question.

You have misinterpreted the conflict completely. It's because the style of trance that people label that way is gaining dominance that has people upset. So they hope by attacking it often they will stem the tide. Should you wish to continue this discussion please click on the link in my sig.

To your second paragraph.

It's easy to complain about others behaviour without providing alternatives. If you seriously think that is a problem then revive one of my many TA improvement threads , i'd recommend this one http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...nary+project%22
