The Starlight Alchemist - Glacier Tears [Progressive Trance/ 112kbps full]

It's been a while since I posted anything, here's something I made today in a fit of inspiration. Having heard how well the smoother, bouncier Probspot-type tracks do at the club when I went to see Armin at Glow, I started a new project of my own. I might stick with this style for a while as it is a lot easier to control the sound quality on these synths than my usual synths. Anyways, hope you dig.

Thanks.

[UPDATED] Added more percussion, another little submelody, increased the high freqs range a bit. Also, put the full track up.

[UPDATE]Bumped the tempo up by 2 bpm, various mastering changes. I think the track is finally done, sounds really good against when I A/B it with some professional tracks.

- nice porduction and mastering
- I like how the kick comes back at 1:56, with the snare
- I really like how those low pitched strings/bass sound in the break.
- Needs more groovy percs to be more housey
- Has nice structure, but does get a little boring after a while...

this is very nice again brandon. some nice melodies and they all flow together well. it just seems to be missing some drive even for prog trance. i think its the lack of percussion there to drive the track along. get that sorted and ur on to another winner

Yeah when it comes back in it lacks percs on purpose, but then strong percs come back in panned all around the spectrum, should have let the sample play a little bit longer before cutting it off

Thank you all for the feedback. This is new for me so it's appreciated.

I've already started another track for this project, and wrote some vocals (for a male), so if any of you guys can sing and wanna work with me that would be great.

real solid production, great beats, bass, fx, sounds, all perfect in my eyes
melody is very chilling, i like the clap a lot, nice laid back long clap
the high note pad is a little to loud actually, so fix that... the rest
break beat is really nice nice reverse kick
sounds solid
keep it up m8
peace out

sounds great man. very nice laid back vibe. love the bassline that starts before 2:00. great percussion. the only thing i could suggest would be to add a little more funk to the percussion if you wanted it to be more housey, but i really like it where it is. if i had a cdj i would play this out for sure. keep up the great work man. you've gotta be my favorite unsigned artist these days. class work.

i'd love to do a collab with you if you're interested at all. let me know.

tizzy izzy

very chilled and it's definately my style of music... bassline is tite but when it hits that that low note, it sounds a tid bit muddy...

atmospherics are cool, and mastering elsewhere is great,
it'd be cool if you added some white noise, it would make teh transitions much smoother

breakbeats are sounding good (however not as good as "scarlet oak"
jk)

i am a great vocalist (once i'm given enough to drink) and can sing on your track, PM me for more info haha

lol, this is not progressive house at all.

but anyway, sounds good.. especially like the percussion. kick is a tad too hard though, needs to be deeper.

track becomes a bit repetitive towards the end.
