well it is rather generic trance track...

Not anything special. tho I like the melody.

Read This!

I have to disagree to what other people think! I believe this is different, and very good as well! Production is tight breakdown is mint and the build is also very good! All in all from the sample sounds bloody good!

To me, you're the melody-man. Not because the melodies are any good, but because you have LOTS of them in each production. I think your sound has improved alot, and I really like the kickdrum in this one. And I can hear that you like to add delay to your synths But watch out, that can destroy the soundpicture. As the break hits, I'm thinking. Wow, this is beautiful! but then I really can't figure out the structure og the piano-melody. It seems like you're just jamming with it, so it's not ONE single melody-structure. This is sad, because then I can't get it to stick in my head. It's like, you're arpeggiating upwards, and then you change the pattern. And at 01.38 I expected a MAIN-melody to arrive. to fade in. Because that kick was really powerful. Nice one though.

-very nice bassline and good snap to the kick and clap
-sweeping pads are lovely
-melody isnt really that interesting
-the progression of the break is good
-bassline changes dont seem to suit the pads
-bassline is now completely muddled and pads are taking over
-lead is muffled
-sounds like a big blend of sounds fighting for attention

not near as good as cloudland, 5/10

I also recognized that the basschange doesn't fit with the rest. And hey, check all your delays, because I think they're causing a lot of damage

as i mentioned, it's only an early version of the track. i will work on it some more when i will have some free time.

wil fix the reverb/delay problems and the bassline progression
for sure,

i know it still needs a whole lot of work, a lot of eqing and mastering, right, and still some working on the whole project

personally, i would say ignore what people have to say about the melody-aspect of the track.

I find too many times i hear from people that they want a distinct melody to repeated over and over again... Sometimes it's a good thing if we have a sound that evolves over time...

with that said, i feel that the mixing needs to be tighter.. it sounds like too many sounds are competing together right now... try to seperate them a bit more.

there is a bit too much delay and reverb as people have said as well.

Other than that, it's sounding good to me... the sweeping pads are always a nice thing to have.

keep working on it mate.

Hey Pete,

It needs more EQing, the melody is ok. But the sounds need to be clearer and phatter.
