i like quake 3a at LANs everyonce and a while, but online when your life expectancy turns into 10 seconds or less, no longer is it fun

yeah but I like quake becuase of that. Its fast and simple.

Best quake game ever for me is Action Quake for quake2

Man that game rocked, so much adrenaline in every round

I started playing Quake 3: Arena again the other day, actually. Deathmatch and Capture the Flag are fun, but I went to the trouble of downloading a mod called Threewave and I just get massacred all the time in that. It takes a lot out of it! I'd be playing Unreal Tournament 2004 and Battlefield 1942 if my PC was up to it. Me and PC games aren't compatible, for some reason.

well i would do, if i hadnt have beaten all my poor friends into submission

remains the greatest deathmatch orientated game to date imo. fast, beautifully balanced weaponry, never a reason to stand still; all helping to create an elegant simplicity. and i love the fact that if youre good enough you can take on entire teams in CTF while your buddies guard the base. what can i say, i hate team work

wish i had ADSL so i could play online more. 56K just done cut it. ill play this game until computers become obsolete.
