Re: Men better than women?
Shouldn't the question you are asking be, "Are sheep better than men"?
as for OT: Its either a social or biological problem but yes men are better than women in math and science... and politics, and sport, and religion, and gambling, and drinking, and at breaking the law, and at flying jets....

There is never going to be a situation where you have two completely equal people up against each other and the only thing that sets them apart is their sex, ethnicity, or anything else. People are much too different for that to happen, so much depends on what kind of a person someone is and the abilities they possess, innate or otherwise.

And women can prepare food and raise children better! It all equals out!...I actually agree with Josh4, though something is going on that makes the ratio differ in a lot of areas, like how few women participate in the PDD forum!

I think we should all listen to St Andrew's opinion on choosing whether men or women are better because he's the only one here who prefers neither of these two choices...
Now, on a more serious note, it is true that women are not as common as man in some sections of scientific research, but I'd say that's mostly because of the society and the way they are raised. If we take a look at science and research few hundred years ago, we don't see any women involved there, hell we don't even see them writing poetry or literature. Nowadays it's a totally different story, and that's why I'm more inclined to assign the situation towards social rather than biological reasons. On the other hand, women are the ones who get pregnant and have babies so it's kinda hard doing the same amount of work as their male counterparts whose only involvement in baby-making is a rather fun 5 minute activity.
