It's like an international sport. Americans don't use the metric system. Americans don't use their feet when playing football (not as much as we do). Heck, they're even lazy enough to name their country so they just named it after the continent! Why can't we pretend we're outraged!? Many kids in America get everything they want. Everything is easy for them (see: Transportation, Television, Fast Food). And with graphic violence and murder regulalry appearing on every cable network (another pointless amenity) from Cartoon Network to CNN, why wouldn't a child rationalize that killing their sibling is a great way to not only obtain a hamburger but unmeasured attention and praise from an unknowing parent?
