Ok, last setup recommendation question (I promise!)
Ok, I am almost done figuring out what I am going to buy for my setup. If any of you guys can help me fill up missing spots with your own recommendations I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Turntables: Technics 1200 MKIIs
Mixer: Pioneer DJM-707
Amp/Receiver: Crown XLS 202
Speakers: (need something kinda small for a basement-sized room)
Cartridges: Ortofon Concord Nightclubs
Headphones: ??? No clue
Anything else I'm missing?

nononooo you're getting confused.. you either get ortofons, or shures. you don't have ortofon with a shure stylus, it wouldn't fit. and the 'needle' IS the stylus
i would go with shure whitelabel's or ortofon concorde nightclub's

don't forget to pick up some slipmats. i don't think MK2s come with them (atleast mine didn't).

Right right, but these things I listed are the more expensive items :P
Anyone know what I should do for speakers? Also, is a receiver basically the same thing is an amp? I just want to make sure I am getting the terms down correctly.

My buddy runs 2 sets of JBL ION Gen2 powered 15" monitors that sound pretty damn good. They are about $400/ea.
I will be running with a set of JBL Studio Pro 12" towers powered by a an old skool Technics amp.

That doesn't matter... Some TT's (expensive or not) don't come with slipmats.
Headphones are personal preference man. I use the Sony 7506's. Some like the HD25s, others like the HDJ1000's and then the 700's. Gotta just try them all out if possible.

JBL Eon2's would be nice. Right now I am using some old school JVC speakers, and they do the job, mind you the tweaters can distort once in awhile. Hopefully an upgrade in RCA cables will fix that.

What kind of amp/receiver do you use?
