OK:
1. Death from Above 1979 - May 8 @ El Salon. I think you can still get tickets at Esoterik on St. Catherine's and it's cheap. Sonic noise destruction. You will dance your ass off.
2. Japanther, Et Sans, and Dreamcather - May 5 @ Le Local (around the 7000s on St. Urbain. Holy shit is this a fun show. Saw Japanther, Dutchess Says, and AIDS Wolf at the Electric Tractor last month and didn't stop sweating for 3 days. You can get tickets at Cheap Thrills on Metcalfe, kinda across the street from McGill.
OK, I don't know if anyone realizes this, but there is also a board for the rock/punk/indie/etc. crowd at Montrealshows.com. This is kinda getting to my point that there should be more punk/electro crossover because both groups have essentially the same philosophy but there's some unnecessary societally-contructed bullshit in the way, like punks not liking ravers because they think they are stupid and the music has no artistic value. And vise-versa with ravers saying punks are just stupid anachronisms that are living off the past, which is way worse than living in it. Well, I, personally, think it's time to drop the bullshit and work together to party are respective asses off, as one. So there.
