Lately my monitor hasnt shown any reds on the screen, they all appear as black!!!, so when i go to a webpage with red writing i cant read it and have to highlight it.. And because of this other colours wont show proper
Ive punched, kicked and headbutted it, and it still wont work
Guess i need a new monitor????????

i see we went straight for the technical approach.
take out all the cables, clean them, plug them all in again, make sure theyre all tight, and piss with the colours on the monitor, make sure its not something silly before u get a new one.
and u dont know for sure its not the video outlet on ur motherboard / video/graphics card..

I worked in company witch fixed Fujitsu-Siemens computers. Once I got computer with same problem. The problem was in motherboard videocard. Change video card or change motherboard if videocard is intergrated.
Ive treid the a different video card, so i know it isnt that. When you say take all the cables apart, do you mean just clean off the end where it jacks into the vid card?

remember your monitors display is created from three 'guns'. 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green. your red gun may have died, especiall yif its an old one. dunno if you can replace the gun, probably not worth it. take it as a sign the other 2 guns could go soon as well. i'd invest in a new monitor.

i was going to say his monitor was all tired out from looking at red lingerie and red headed chicks from his pr0n collection .. ..
but either these 3 :
1- the 'red' gun in your monitor is down
2- there is i think 11 pins in a monitor plug .. each pin i think represents a color .. check your pins in your monitor plug .. if you know how to do this, chop off the monitor end, and plug in a new adapter ..
3- the video card is messed up
