Assuming you know the format and that it should be 5-10pgs long , you're set.
ideas, i got plenty. I had to write a few screenplays last semester.
think surreal. Dont play the normal card. I hate that. At the end of my class 3 plays were picked to be carried out into real plays and mine was the first one picked.
it was about about a guy in his apartment who had anger management/ OCD at the same time.
he'd wake up, throw his alarm clock against the wall, smashing it all over the place....then take a shower.
a maid walks in and lets him know she is there, cleans everything up.
he seemingly hurries to finish his shower and put on clothes, and the moment he gets out, she is gone.
he sits down, opens a drawer, and has a picture of her.
then lights change, salsa music comes on *she's latina* and they start dancing salsa....he is surprised he knows how to dance to begin with lol.
after a while, he realizes this is all in his head, sits back down, she leaves, lights go back to normal, and he smashes the picture frame against the wall and ends up sobbing.
it was just a surreal play on something tragic. It was mainly about his love for her, and she would never know about it......unrequited love *sigh* the horror!
but it was nothing out there, nothing in your face like some one getting raped (like all the other kids in my class tried to portray). Apparently THAT was tragedy.
stay away from ghey horror movies and played out stuff. Go for something psychological/philosophical. Even something simple. If you can capture simplicity in a creative fashion, you're set.
maybe im not making sense.
basically, be crazy, be original.
i had a screen play with ONE word in it.......and the word was "goodbye"......i mainly played with camera shots and atmosphere.....you can capture a lot of meaning without words.
think creative, s0N!
dont write something boring and mundane like everyone in your class is bound to create.
if you want an answer with more substance, PM me...
