Thumbs down Radeon 9800 Pro - Noisy cooling fan

Is it possible to buy a cooling fan of some kind seperate? Or do they come attached to the cards only.

If the answer is yes to the question above, can someone point me to some decent hardware stores that may sell them?

Thanks!

I just bought a new heatsink and fan for my CPU, now I just need to make the graphics card stfu...

Actually yes. I work with a guy who is super anal about computer noise. He is ALL about the quietest computer in every way possible. For his CPU and his videocard, he bought these metal leaf things from Zalman, www.zalmanusa.com They should have something for your quiet computer needs.

If you're handy with screw driver, have a drill and tap, some machine screws 3x20mm or so, you can probably make yourself new mounting holes and get new fan. That's what i do with my video cards when fans die on them

Whats the problem with a noisy fan?, It's cause they are pushing so much air, My PC sounds like a jet plane, Cause I have so many fans in the case, But I'm not complaining, There doing there job cooling the PC, So I dont care about the noise, Besides, I can't sleep well unless I hear the fans running. Sometimes my video card's fan makes noise, Thats cause its spinning very slow, To fix it, I took the fan off the heatsink and aplied some 3in1 oil into the back which has an opening covered by a sticker, After that, The fan starts working normal again.

No you don't understand, it's not just because it's pushing lots of air through, after all it's a stock fan and i've had it a while. It is actually TOO noisy, it rattles, for some reason it sometimes makes a loud "MEERRRRRRRR" when I switch my computer on, then my computer switches itself off after 5 seconds.

I want a new one for a more efficient cooler.

Serious? The noise of the noisy fans help you nod off?

Its not just the fans on the pc, But i also run the ceiling fans, and two fans on the top of my drawers, I cannot sleep into I hear the soothing sounds of the air from the fans, I can't sleep with total quietness.
