AFAIK, it doesn't actually respond through a MIDI track. You just design your patterns in FL, and when you start playing in Cubase, it starts playing in FL (with the appropriate time adjustment of course).

yeah thats all ive been able to do.. you cant arrange it or anything in cubase? when i press play in cubase it just plays the FL pattern over and over.. dont I get to sequence the pattern or anything in cubase? wtf? that shit is ghey.. what is the point.. i think im just gonna go 100% Fruity.. is that what you do?

are you running windows 98/me? or do you just like the classic look of windows?

I don't use Fruity at all, I do 100% of the production in Cubase SX (with some editing in Wavelab).

But it plays the same pattern over and over again because FL is in pattern mode. Just put it in song mode and you'll be fine.

I never really understood the purpose of the whole ReWire thing. With Reason I can understand, because it's a closed system, but why would anyone want to wire FL Studio in Cubase? Just use Cubase.

he probably tweeked out XP and disabled all his display effects. retains the original windows look but runs a lot faster and smoother.

Use FL. Cubase Sx 3 doesn't offer much more than FL unless you got hardware.
