"Stuttering" Vocal Effect

Does anyone know how to achieve a stuttering effect on a vocal like the sample I've uploaded?

Thanks everyone for your help. I am reasonably new to production so could anyone elaborate on doing the gate effect? Is it a 'Noise Gate'?

I have Sound Forge, Audition, Fruity, Reason, Acid...

Can I do it in any of these?

an easy cheat so long as you have fl5...

use the fruity beat slicer, then it's easy as pie to chop up the vocals as much as you want to and reverse them etc. without loads of wave files
