I just saw a commerical on MTV about their NYE broadcast and it said that the coverage was to include a "late night set by Sasha & Digweed". I couldn't find anything about this on mtv.com - anyone know anything else about this - what time it will be aired, MTV or MTV2, etc?

oh u really think so....hey, they're trying to make progressive/trance more popular, i dont think necesseraly selling out just because they've decided not to turn down mtv's request....

Selling out huh? By still playing the most unknown tracks of any big named dj's out there? You know Sasha and Digweed have been working with MTV for some time now, they had a contest a couple years ago where they flew you to New York for lunch and a show. You know no one said they were selling out then. But I guess in some strange way helping to spread the sound that we love to people who may not have heard it, or may be uninformed is "selling out." Next thing you know they'll both be on TRL huh?

I can see where everyones coming from, saying that they're selling out. When you and a couple of friends were the only people around aware of the music and the scene it was "your special thing". Now it's on the verge of being mainstream and your not a part of that special scene anymore because everybody is. Look at it this way, the scene is spreading so the greatly deprived people that didn't know it was there can now enjoy what we have had. I guess it's one of those "the glass is half full, not half empty" sort of things Thats the way I see it at least

agreed that they are NOT selling out. what about tiesto playing a free show at the virgin megastore in LA before his set at giant and signing autographs of his cd which they were conveniently selling by the truckloads right in front of where he was signing and spinning. that is more selling out than playing a show and mtv broadcasting it. they at least aren't selling sasha and digweed cd's during commercials. but i digress.
anyone have any info on the date and time of this show cuz i really, and i mean REALLY, need to videotape this.
