how many people on here have used it. what type of lap top are you using. i hear apple is the way to go on that. but are there any problems with this or is something good to have. is it as real as vinyl or not even close? i was thinking about getting it and want to see what some people opions are. thanks cory

I got the old Final Scratch (1.5 I think)and it runs pretty well from my computer. Feels exactly like a vinyl other than maybe 1/1000th of a second delay that you won't even notice unless you really pay attention. It will save you tons of money as well. Only problem is that you cant connect more than 2 turntables/cdj's up to it (well for mine you can't... maybe FS 2 you can...). I highly recommend it but try finding a used one around your area for cheap.

From what I've seen and heard it seems to be a wise investment, I'm considering buying it soon.

Works really well for me when my computer is all cleaned out.. when i start installing to much shit and my computer gets too cramped, then shit gets hectic.

Using FS2.0 for 6/7 months now, and it's still running smoothly on a Sony Vaio. (2 Ghz / 512 / 40 gig) Used as a dedicated laptop.

Yesterday i played with my other Vaio (3Ghz / 512 / 60 Gig) with all other sort of programms on it, and still running smooth.

Note that IF you use a WinXP machine you allways have to carry your powersupply with you from your scratchamp. 4 to 6 pins does not supply power to your scratchamp.

Another "need to know" for XP machines : Make a different hardware profile in XP, and a matching userprofile. Disable all services you don't need, all programms you don't need and it all will run fine

Final Scratch is good for home use, but when it's used in a club you can hear a little bit of feedback for some reason. I'm not entirely sure why and it may be fixed in a later model but everytime I hear it there is a subtle buzzing that ruins the music for me at least.
