So I'll be going to Acapulco this Thursday and it is my first time there.I just want to get some info about the nightlife and want to know if they play any EDM there at all or is it all damn hiphop shit? ( I hope not)

so if any of you have been there please help me out and name some of the good clubs from there.

Danny Tenaglia acutally spun there a couple of years ago. Lots of import djs have spun there too.

This club is absolutely insane! I was there last year and I would highly suggest checking it out!

Edit: Check out club Mandara too... it's built in an old mansion... amazing decor, tons of beautiful people and pretty good music. House/Trance downstairs... Hip Hop Upstairs.

You'll have a blast

I went there two years in a row for reading week (Feb 2001/Feb 2002) and they were some of my best partying experiences. Palladium really blew me away and when I went they played a lot of Trance...

Definitely go sea-dooing and be wary of 'promoters' there -- stick to what is generally the more popular place to go each night - which usually coincides with the tour company @ your hotel (but not necessarily). You'll find scammers selling you passes that they claim will save you $20 but then either they're expired or will only save you $10. (lol)





Also, work on your spanish and have fun

Has Acapulco taken over Cancun's crown as Mexico's party central?

I remember when Acapulco was king and a few years ago and then Cancun had taken over.

I know someone who saw Sasha there, but after Hurrican Rita hitting Cancun hard, I'm wondering if Acapulco is back.

Acapulco has never died in the party scene. It is the first party scene in Mexico for sunworshippers and will always be. I saw Danny Tenaglia and Armin Van Burren there.

Moments in history is all I have to say.

Acapulco is the BEST place in Mexico by far...you aren't stuck in a damn resort (i HATE resorts)..u step outta your hotel..you look left..it's bars, hotels and more bars..u look right..there's a HUGE market, bar hotels..WOW...u look ahead..u cross a street to the beach..honestly..about 30 metres away..wow
