REVIEW: Coldplay ACC Wed. Mar 22
Well, I almost always end up grabbing tickets for concerts on the day of the event, and this again, was not a bad move. (After they set up the stage they release non-obstructed seats in view of the stage.)
The seats were "rear-view" so I got a great view of Chris Martin's ass at the piano, and we were over the drum kit. He came and played and sang to the left of the stage frequently, and they were taping the show for a future DVD release, so there were cameras all over the place. I actually feel bad for the people with "front row" seats because of a HUGE barricade between the stage and that row, in fact the first few rows looked quite obstructed. We couldn't see the large monitor wall at all, but since we were there for the music it was all ok with us. They played all of their hits, did one encore and the last song was "fix you". What musicianship! They are just soooooo good!
We sat next to this outrageous couple and ended up going to the Loose Moose afterwards and my intern from Vancouver is a bartender there and so he ended up buying us two pitchers and two rounds of shots.
So I'm at work, likely still drunk, and absolutley delighted that I got to see Coldplay.
