1 - Does anyone around here work at a book store? I need MCAT review books and they are incredibly expensive, so any kind of discount that I can find on them would be greatly appreciated.
2 - Anyone here know of anyone that can get a PS2 "off the back of a truck"?
Gracias.

I work for B & N Corp. I have a 30% discount on ALL books. Lemme know if that would help you. Not on online orders tho so I would have to purchase the books in person at a book store using my employee discount card.
as for #2 no, not off the back of a truck but B & N is also affiliated with Gamestop, Funcoland, Babbages and Software Etc so I get a 20% discount off from those stores as well.

Might I suggest that the two should be mutually exclusive.
If you plan to get some massive studying done, having a new PS2 around probably won't help. I guess, it's needed for stress relief.

I thought u could get a PS2 for like $100-150 used? Not that bad. Speaking of Sony, PS3 is coming in November. Can't wait
A new slim PS2 is $150 new in box. I dont want to spend more than like $70-80 bucks on it, $100 max. Im gonna end up getting rid of it sometime in August/Sept for when the PS3 comes out - no point in me loosing money on something Im only gonna use for a few months to get my fix of Fifa.

Oh wow. He said "Fifa". I haven't played that in a long while. I used to be hooked on soccer and hockey games. I'm actually looking to get a slim PS2 as well, as my old bessie PS2 just died out after 5 years. I mainly want it for it's DVD playing purposes right now. Me and my roomate will probably split the cost just to have something until PS3. If necessary I'll probably be one of those guys standing on the long PS3 line @ midnight b/c I really wanna get 1 if not 2 of them so I can sell them both on Ebay in December for triple price

thanks jdat, but I think books are much better cause you can write in them and read them. Im not a big fan of all this studying stuff on CD-ROM, my eyes barely remove themselves from a computer screen as it is.
