2006 NFL Draft

Well, as expected Mario Williams went as the 1st pick in the draft.

Reggie Bush going to New Orleans with the 2nd pick, seems like there is going to be a trade of mega proportions because the Saints dont need McAllister, Bush and Bennett. I wonder who they were drafting for...

I think Deuce is on his way out in NO. I was suprised the Texans went for Williams but Ican see why. AJ Hawk should have gone higher, and I wouldhave liked the Cavaliers tackle to go to any other team but the Jets. I was suprised the Raiders didn't take Leinart. The Bills just took Donte Whitner DB from Ohio State

Didnt they just give Deuce a new contract? I dont think any teams want Deuce, but Im sure half the league will take Bush.

Im not sure about the new contract and I wasnt able to find anything on it. Deuce tore and ACL and missed most of last season, but hes only 27 and shows good vision if there is actually someone to block for him. I can think of a few teams where he might be a success, but Im not sure who can or would be willing to sign him.

A Bush trade is certainly a possibility.

Detroit just snagged Sims from Fla. St. Leinart went to the Cardinals at #10

Denver takes Cutler from Vandy

Browns and Ravens swap picks, Cleveland gaining a 6th round as collatteral and the Ravens taking NGata from Oregon. The Browns take Wimbley after that....Im not sure about this pick; D Lineman from Florida State have historically flopped in Cleveland.

I wonder where Tamba Hali will end up.

Arizona is going to be a contender next year - the offense they are putting together over there is crazy.

They have no O-line whatsoever. They are in an awful division though, where a completely 1D team might have some minor success.

I think they will be just fine... If a crappy QB like McCown could get Fitzgerald and Bolden 1000 yards each, Leinart would be able to do much more, plus they have the Edge. Luckily for them, they have a good defense.

I wonder who will get and where Scott Pozlunszy will end up as well - he is a solid OLB.

lol, I dont even think its spelled right.

And LenDale was drafted 45th pick by Tennessee. Looks like they are really looking to improve their offense, but I dont know how they are gonna workout their RB situation between Brown, Henry, and White.

a good defense??!

Last year they allowed the 6th-most points per game, and the year before that they were the worst. Boldin and Fitzgerald racked up their yards because Arizona was always desperately playing from behind.

as for Edge, he relies on power, vision and open running lanes to gain consistent yardage. Arizona's line is a far cry from what he's used to. He can't turn the corner as well since he blew out his knee in 2001, as he no longer has his explosiveness.

Arizona's offensive line blows and allowed 45 sacks last year. Dennis Green should have worked on improving it instead of going after big name players. Although there's hope, when he was w/ Minnesota he did produce a fairly strong RB rotation, and Boldin and Fitzgerald are STUDS, both awesoem receivers and able to take a beating which is necessary in this offense where they will have to go across the middle quite a bit.
