Russian Gay Parade squashed by police and homophobes

Moscow. May 28 (Interfax) - Police detained 36 activists in Moscow Saturday for trying to hold a banned gay parade.
Seventeen people were arrested in Moscow's Manezhnaya Square at 3:20 p.m. for issuing calls to hold the unauthorized march. Offenses incriminated against 16 of the detained gay rights supporters were documented in administrative protocols, and administrative charges were brought against the parade organizer, Nikolai Alexeyev, sources in Moscow police told Interfax on Sunday.
Nineteen activists were detained in Tverskaya Square at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. All of them were released after administrative protocols were drawn up.

I think last month groups of fucked up nationalists and crazy old ppl barricaded the gay night club, wouldn't let ppl out and would throw stones and rotten tomatoes at them when they tried escaping
the police did absolutely nothing
