imo, there is a difference between computer graphics and computer science degree, depending on the college of course, and the professors that teach the course .
if you take computer graphics, most probably you would take a lot of classes taht make you know dreamwaver, flash, and the works . some drawing classes and a couple of math courses here and there . you would get lucky to take a computer graphics class where you would have to create your own opengl (graphical language), and draw graphics using algebraic and trigonometric functions . I took a class like this ( just the standard level. they offered an advanced level, which i couldn't do , due to unfortunate circumstances) . i really liked the class, and enjoyed the course work and history of graphics.
if you take computer science, the first two years you could smoke past them, imo. easy material. if you are well organized, and now the basics of what a programming language does , then you're fine . as long as you understand the logisitcs, you're cool. the next two years, i had fun implementing stuff like data structures (trees, sorted lists, algorithms, the such) , file systems, 3 tier web approaches and the such . that stuff entertains me. i guess i like to see a lot of work on my plate to keep me busy . haha .
so hopefully you have the same amount of fun i had in college.
edit* sorry to break out the true news, but there is a reason why guys like *cough* Nou *cough* can't make the cut for the second half of a college career .
