Songs to Open a Set
Paul van Dyk's set at Rosenmontag 2002 was amazing for many reasons, but one that struck me the most is
that orgasmic beginning where Paul starts with a beatlessJunk Project - Braintool for the first few seconds, and the energy building in that bit of time is indescribable--and then when it kicks in, it breaks through the roof! I wondered what you thought about the opening, and what other beginnings of sets really stuck out in your minds.
cheers
Ilina

I like when Tiesto starts off with Dallas 4pm. It's a great opening track.

I like DJ Noise - Sibel (Dave 202 & Phil Green Remix) for a start!

its some how boring to keep hearing that over and over again until after 4 minutes to booms really start..
but each of us has he's own taste

I would love to start sets in clubs with those tunes that have beautiful melodic intros.

If a DJ drops Silence to open it, I am going to slap them, because the rest of the set would suck compared to Silence unless they play every other classic, and then i will slap them for that.
I dunno...maybe We Know What You Did....
(ok, i took the easy route)

danny tenaglia vs timo maas - treatment elements is a very good track to start with! AvB opened his set @ scanners with this song!
i love it!
another good tune for the opening is the wellenrausch mix of ppk's ressurection!
