Need some advice on the nordlead 3 rack

I have just gotten an Access Ti, the Hottest synth (IMO).. that aside. I have enough money to get the second synth on my list, the nordlead 3 rack. From what I hear it would be a great synth for the rolling Sqaurish arp basslines, and Plucked leads. I mean Can you guys help me out, SHOULD I GET IT?! I mean i have the TI, and yes I dont want cramp a bunch of top end synths in my studio at once. Please Give me the Pro's And Con's. A good friend of mine said " you have the ti, thats really all you need."

The Nordlead 3 is an amazing synth. I use nordlead and virus c most of em all. Go to a store and check it out. Might be nice to check a fx box for it too as it doesnt have any internal effects.

If you've just gotten a Virus TI, you should NOT buy another synth, especially not something as complex and expensive as a nord lead.
Give yourself some time to learn and master the virus. (6 months atleast) Then consider buying, if you even need one at all.

Eldritch's right. I just picked up a Virus TI although I had the C for about a year and I would wait till you master the TI before deciding to buy anything else. The TI is a powerful synth and should meet your needs on most things for a while.

Think of it like Billy-No-Mates downloading all the latest warez crap and stuffing his PC with every possible VSTi's not really understanding how none of them works inside out. Ok, not quite as bad as that, but you get my understanding?

If you want to spend some cash, you could use the money to buy some high spec monitors if you dont have any decient monitors in your studio?

I agree with this. Good monitors really help getting a great sound when mixing and should be your first priority. But I mean, if you really want to spend money, the Nordlead ain't a boring piece of equipment

Besides that i like alot of the FM sounds the nordlead can do I mean yea the TI is a powerhouse, but both shouldnt sound like "similar" should they?
