No Two Tribes for 2007 replaced with Future Music Festival

From Future Entertainment

The annual Two Tribes Festivals, which have graced the Australian music event calendar for many years and helped pioneer the successful path of dance culture in this country, will no longer take place.

From humble beginnings at Victoria Docks in Melbourne, to touring Australia with a stella array of international talent, to the most inspiring 20,000 strong crowds at Melbourne Park, Two Tribes will hold a very special place in the hearts of all who experienced its captivating moments.

Future Entertainment wishes to thank all who have participated and contributed to the legend that has been Two Tribes. Future Entertainment has developed into one of the country’s largest and most reputable electronic music marketing and events companies partly due to Australia’s support of this unique home grown festival series.

Future Entertainment and Hardware Corporation have mutually agreed to conclude the partnership between the two companies and retire from producing the Two Tribes Festivals each year to focus on independent ventures. Future Entertainment would like to acknowledge Hardware Corporation’s contribution to the Two Tribes Festivals and wish them the best of luck with activities moving forward.

The Future Music Festivals have arrived…

With the ever-changing personality of music and festival culture in Australia, Future Entertainment has identified the demand for a fresh, new, diverse and dynamic multi genre national electronic music festival. As the sun sets on Two Tribes, Future Entertainment will turn up the lights and the volume on the boldest and most cutting edge music festivals, aptly named the Future Music Festivals, to deliver an excitingly contemporary perspective on the future of international electronic music. They will take place over three weekends in March in each major city in Australia and Auckland, New Zealand!

The demand for talent and entertainment is as strong as ever, and the Future Music Festivals will present the biggest, most awe-inspiring selection of local and international talent Australia has ever seen to provide the colour and vibrance upon which Future Entertainment has built its reputation.

The Future Music Festival will search the globe to present the boldest and most forward thinking line-up of DJ’s, MC’s and Live artists to create an event that will re-shape the festival experience in Australia. For the very first time Future will introduce in an exciting new format showcasing the diversity that has made Australia one of the most renowned summer festival locations for touring artists the world has to offer.

Future Entertainment has a wealth of touring and event production experience and has successfully developed the annual Summadayze Festivals in Melbourne, Auckland, Gold Coast (Summafieldayze with Fuzzy) and Perth. In fact, at the recent ITM50 awards Future Entertainment picked up awards for best event for the almighty Summadayze in Melbourne (Future’s 25,000 capacity flagship event) and Summafieldayze in the Gold Coast! Coupled with Future’s strength as one of the regions biggest electronic touring companies - with an artist and brand roster which represents the who’s who of electronic music, ensures the Future Music Festival’s will immediately find a significant place on Australia’s music and social calendar and be this summer’s most anticipated events.

That's sad they won't be collaborating with Hardware anymore, imo they bring some the best parts to TT

Let's hope "Future Music Festivals" doesn't = 10 x Muzzadayze a year

If Hardware is branching off/working on different projects then this can only be good news imo. More choice, more events

Really i thought it was the most shithouse event i have ever been to? It was a great event to be "seen" at by some of the most pretentious ****s Sydney had ever assembled. Ohh look at my new $899 DG wide sided sunglasses, oh wow. Arent i the coolest bro in Sydney?

If a bomb had taken out Randwick that day the only sadness would have been that Muli's rabbits would have needed a new daddy.

Whatever .. overall it was one of the events of the year for me. I prefer the crowds at these events more than i do the seedy raver'esque gurners at two tribes.

Musicwise, there was a whole bunch of variety for me to listen to, most of which i enjoyed. I don't know what event you were at Simon but it wasn't all cheeseball house to my ears.
