Best (at least 2 channel) mixer for around 200 euro ?
Best (at least 2 channel) mixer for around 200 euro ?
It's to be used with two CDJ100-S players, so it does not have to be more than two channels (although more channels is not really a drawback).
Effects and other specials are not a big priority. Quality, durability, good sound and the likes, is.
I first looked at Behringer, but heard a few bad things about them so now I'm looking at:
VESTAX VMC - 002 XL
NUMARK DXM 06
Could you, right away, recommend any of them?
I've seen the VESTAX VMC - 004 XLW recommended as a pretty good quality mixer (if you can't go Pioneer). How does the 002 XL compare to it? Is the amount of channels the biggest difference?
The Numark is by the way more than 50€ more expensive, so rather choose the Vestax.
If neither of these are good, what is you recommendation?

is this for a first dj setup? If so go with the vestax...if you feel like you might want to add on more devices go with the 004 its tried and true and although the numark 06 is great, i dont know if you need the effects necessarily although plenty of people will vouch for how great these mixers are.

Yes, first setup of my own, but not something I plan on replacing the next couple of years because it's not near good enough.
Is the Numark up to the vestax in quality too? It seems the Numark is about 40€ more expensive only, so the price difference is just big enough to make a small difference.
In other words; I only want the Vestax 002 if it's quite noticably more durable and better quality. If it isn't, maybe I should consider Numark.
And Vestax 002 and Vestax 004 is in other words the same thing (with dif. amount of channels)...
Any other differences between the Vestax 002 and Numark DXM 06? My first mixer, so I don't really know.
And I'm definitely not interested in vinyl decks, so two channels is enough.

"at least two channel"
I don't think it could be called a mixer if it were under two channels

vestax is known for higher durability and quality and in MY opinion is much more durable and great quality than numark products. i personally have the vmc004xl and wouldnt trade it for the world (well maybe for a xone 3d ). but no one on this board will complain about vestax mixers (for the most part ofcourse there are always people who will). good luck with whatever choice you make

Okay, thanks for the input. (I'm the one buying here, just used my friend to post that as my account was not validated yet )
Anybody here using that Numark mixer that could give me a short review?
A bit boring in the long run to not have any effects to use, but I'm getting the feeling choosing Vestax is safer.
And are the two ones I mentioned, really the ones people buy in this price range? Really no other alternatives?

ECLER NUO2 is a good, solid 2-channel beginner mixer as well.

The numarks are... acceptable for beginner mixer and if you want to learn to play with effects. I'm not big fan of their knobs and lay out in general, but that may be just my preference

I'm not either. Their knobs dont feel nearly as sturdy as Vestax's. Like spawnmaster, I have the VMC 004 as well and the knobs just feel quality. The upfaders' resistance is perfect. Really nothing to complain about with the VMC 004 (or 002). With the Vestax Im positive you won't regret it. But the Numark, you might, or you might not.
the vestax is very good, cant say ive used the vmc series but vestax are quality. but there is nothin wrong with the numark. both will steer u well depends if u want effects or not? just say clear of the Behringer mixers and ul be fine.
