just been reading about nick sentience and his new fascination with it.
anne savage is getting released on j00f.
discuss.
anne's tune isn't psytrance though, and the remixes just allow joof to bring in 2 of his favourites. Nick sentience & others have often had their sounds influenced by something else too, it's what's allowed him to stay fairly fresh. Psy is becoming more popular again overall cos it's the only sound that hasn't been totally whored out by the mainstream for a long time.

A couple of hontos ago. I saw this girl who was apparently 1/2 of Auricle and she was absolutely amazing.!!! I've always found psy rather relentless, but without the passion you can get in progressive. Well, she kept it up there, but it was like a whole new layer had been added to the music. Best psy I've ever heard and plenty of passion!!

i like psy... especially the stuff j00f plays. If j00f gets a long set, it's when he really shines. he plays the slower proggy psy which rocks.

In my opinion, the whole UK sound is begining to, and will be further influencned by psy..
Much of sentience's new tracks show this.. as well as James Lawson. He is well ahead of the hard dance scene and has been playin a psy infused sound for a while.
I recently read an interview of Alf Bamford, aka Technikal where he said he would definatley be going in the psy trance direction in 2007. For you trancier dudes.. a producer called Trevor McGlaughlin (bad spelling!) has just released a track with is pretty psy sounding and he has releases on trance labels too i'm pretty sure..
I think its all wicked. The scene definately needs something fresh. If you guys are interested (i'm trying not to plug here but hey!) come down to Tweakin @CBD (3D 2nd level) on Fri Nov 3rd. Playing will be J-Frantik from QlD who plays right on the edge of hard dance and psy trance. He's one of QLDs leading hard dance Djs, and will definately rock it with this exciting new sound.
