I am going to write an essay about trance in school.....
Its called "What is Trance?" and the purpose of the essay is to figure out what Trance really is.......
this is where you guys come in. I need some oppinions from Trance-fans you know......pleaz answer some of my question and write your full name.....would be really happy

*What does it mean for you personally...has it effected your way of living?

Trance is: For some people almost a way of life.. for others its just music they like.

It has affected my way of life:
When i get the ticktets or have seen the line-up
for a party i realy realy wanna go!! The days before that well im just realy not thinking of anything else than that party.

I try to listen to all sorts of trance. I try to get all the more harder trance. And so try to get meself the perfect collection. That takes quite a lot of time. And lets all thank napster/the internet/ta.com

Using drugs on partys whatever is your own desicion its not neccesery (difficult word LoL) You can still have a great evening/night without drugs

I think using drugs isnt all that wrong as long as it doesnt kill you or you cant handle it and get aggressive and all... Thats the only bad thing about the drugs.. the dying/accidents/aggresivness

Trance is a musicstyle,connected with a lifestyle,which has(to me) a 24h trancepolicy I try to listen to trance every single minute of the day when I'm awake,take away trance and you take away my lifejoy.It even gest on some nerves of some people around me,that everytime i turn on my stereo or go on my comp.that there is trance beating out of the boxes,that's the way trance affected my life.At first I helped myself out with the compilations tat were released back here,but once we got a 56k-connection,the hozrizons sarted to expand,and with the cableconnection,it keeps growing!
Like some1 has got here on his signature Trance IS the drug, like my precedent said before,either you choose to take drugs,either not.I have no problem on people taking drugs to get more in exctasy(but to me only the song on itselfs does it),as long as they don't start to bother other people,or as long the don't get killed.During the summer a lot of Belgian partpeople experienced with liquid E,some of them got killed,and that was a reason for some people to claim that those clubs(where those people died)to clos ethem,now there are a few clubs that will have to close,'cause of their soft policy on drugs,and that is a bad thing about drugs.

Trance to me is a way of life. I's a type of music that has the emense ability to change the way you see yourself in this world.

Trance has effected my way of living in so many ways its prolly not possible to list them all!!! I live for trance, it gives me a feeling inside that is matched by no other. It brings out the best in me and has helped my writing ability. I was a good writer to begin with but trance has given me a greater ability to write from my soul. I wake up, i turn on trance, I listen to it in the car, I carry my diskman everywhere, even running to the store to pick up some milk...i just got back this site is set as my homepage! I cut off things I used to use all the time but now have no use for...and can no longer afford seeing how i'm a poor college student, just to get dsl and more memory...cable tv and all my extra phone services! I love trance, its a part of my entire being that I cant go a day..no an hour without!!!

I am a soul believer that you don't need drugs to enhance anything. A true trance addict and feel the rush even without the drugs as I can. I believe that the drugs, e for example, enhance the feeling inside you of those around you, not nessasiarly the music.

People now a days coenside drugs with trance and it makes me sick. I have had countless debates about this with my family. Drugs do play their part in raves but it isn't a part of all those who go to them.

For me trance is just the music i listen to. i dont go to raves or parties, i dont do extacy.. i don't listen to trance 24/7, and i dont know the names of every remixes..

Gouryella tracks dont do anything special for me (sorry guys!)

i just listen to trance because i like it. some days i listen to trancematch over & over, some days i pop in my eminem, some days i pop in my aerosmith.. whatever im in the mood for

Lena you are so tottaly right......especially that about writing....this last summer when i got home one day i started to listen to trance....i closed my eyes and i saw this picture of somenone standing on a platform outside waiting for the tube....he had this big headphones and it was a night with very much snow....then i started to write a story about him in my head...... i started wititng and i wrote for 3 hours i think...... i listened to trance during those hours and i just wrote and wrote.....the story whas about this guy....all alone in the night....just litesning to trance wich was his only reason to live....he went on the tube and the story ended with that hw was murdered and the music kept on playing for him...for all people on earth and so on..... i still get amazed as i read my own story cause i cant believe i wrote that good....i even won the a prize in school for it cause all the teachers loved it....but i know it was the Trance-music that had talked through me....i was just the messenger

I do that same thing. It helps the most with my school work and oddly enough it helps the argumentative articles I write for papers and stuff, which i also, like you, gotten awards for and even published. Trance opens my mind and takes me places I never assumed possible and with writing created an outlet.

trance is music, culture, belief and life..
it means almost everything to me since i first ever listened to 'children'.. from then, i've felt better about everything (Cheesy as it may sound, its true).. affected my way of living? yea, i live, eat, drink, think trance..so it has affected my way of living. it relieves me of boredom, stress, annoyance, impatience, etc.. and is the only thing i can face 24/7 .. other than ma gf of course..
and associated of drugs and trance is BS... such a bad generalisation.. and i think those who claim that drugs are necessary to enhance how they appreciated trance or the club culture are lame (personal opinion, if ya don't agree, bite me) =p.. trying it is cool to me, but association on a normal basis is total and utter crap! =p

trance itself is a drug..
-u listen to it a bit, and u keep wanting to go back for more... if u stop listening to it, you feel a sense of loss..
it doesn't make the trance culture bad.. but i don't think its necessary if u are a true fan of trance of the trance scene..
