yeah. that's right. that movie sucked some huge dick. i wasted four friggin dollars on that POS last night. it was alright for the first 45 minutes. then it settled into about another 50 minutes (or more) of straight shooting. it was ridiculous. at least 1000 somolians died in event that it was based on, and i swear to god, you saw everyone of them die in the movie. it was sad. all i could think about from halfway on was how much i wanted a cigarette. and i don't smoke, people. criminy.

man the movie was based on actual events. Im sure they tried to keep it true to what actually happend......it would be silly if they added little sub-plots for your entertainment.
I think your the first person i have heard that has given it a bad review

warlords were fucking the country over, so we took em out. It's not like we attacked to slap a few fucking McDonalds there....

they interviewed some of the guys that were actually there and they said it was similar....not dead on of course but it was a pretty accurate portrail of what happend. I think they killed more women and children in real life though

i think it was a great movie.
What you guys need to realize is that its not just for entertainment, but also like a memorial to those guys fighting a war that had nothing to do with them.... It really pictoralizes how a bunch of guys feel about fighting a war they had nothing to do with as well... But yes, it wasn't just about america coming in there and bullying the somalians around, davinox had it dead-on.... gang wars were tearing that country apart and we were just trying to re-install peace there. Yet another case of America getting involved in something it has nothing to do with, but still you can't fault us.... Someone had to do something, i just wish it didn't always have to be america.
We should celebrate those who lost their lives, not give "two thumbs down".
