How's the Mix and Synthesis in my track (sample incl.)

Hi,
Been a long time since I've last posted anything.. But lately I was really curious with how my mix is and since every production I hear lately sounds different from another, I'm not sure where I stand and I wonder if:
My mix is good
My sounds are up to date (the ones heard today on most high Q productions).

It's a small sample but it's the pick of the intro (what I got so far) - [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Thanks for the help,
Barak.

Too be honest i can't stand any of the trance that's out and about anymore but i certainly couldn't hear anything wrong with that.. Good stuff!

I won't comment that much on the mix itself (I've got a cold. My ears are practically low-pass filtered!), other than it sounds really good and clean.
The bassline is sick!
Personally I like the sounds you used, but the supersaw is a little outdated by todays standards.
I use supersaws myself, I think they sound good when used right.

i agree, sounds pretty decent...the supersaw may be a bit dated though. its not 99 anymore otherwise its solid.

i have the same problem with this song that i do with 90% new age trance: no fat bass. the kick takes up like all of the low end.

I got something I made because of S.V.D... It's cool and all but the kick is lame and it lacks some atmosphere... I can upload it if you want.

Good mix, as far as I can tell. I like the effects in the background.

Back again...! hehe.
Well, here it is: - [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

A bit info about it... I consider it finished though I want to change the Kick to something round and punchier and the bass to something fatter...
It's basicly my first tech production so go easy on me. But I think it's kinda good, except the lack of atmosphere...

Enjoy!

all sounds pretty tight!!

your wright about the kick needing more punch and a fatter driving bassline would be the job!!

very good....
