I've heard that for a good kick the waveform has to look a certain shape and if this is true has anyone got any links for processing kicks in Reason ONLY, not in any other program.

Hi James,
Tight, surgical cuts are only really useful if you're correcting a problem, so unless the sound has actual resonant peaks at ~1 and ~2 kHz, remove these and keep the bandwidths wide and the nodes to a minimum. I also question your 30 Hz lowcut, which may be taking out more than you need, while low-shelving everything below ~150 Hz doesn't sound like a good idea either, unless the level of bass is genuinely too high. Try to combine the two surgical cuts at ~1 and ~2 kHz if you find the midrange too loud, but, again, don't cut by as much as 18 dB unless you're fixing a problem. As for the high-shelf, it's unlikely you'll want to raise anything above ~10 kHz on a kick. Rather I would lowpass it off, but since you don't have that option available you could use a high-shelf cut if it helps take out any unwanted noise/hiss, but keep the Q tight so you don't drag the lower frequencies down.
And remember, EQ should be used to fix a problem, not just for the sake of it or to give the waveform a certain shape.
Hope this puts you on the right track.
