I mixed it, I just didnt have to worry about beatmatching. I still selected the tracks, picked an order, picked mix in/out points and adjusted hi/mid/lo's. Why would that make somebody like it less? If you have a good setup(with monitors) and high quality tracks(not some crappy white label vinyls) beat matching is nothing special once you get the hang of it.

True its harder, but not just beatmatching, but knowing all the songs and keeping in mind where you want to mix in and out, and how, and how fast. And what if a vinyl has an issue. But whatever, if you are sayings its hard to find such a long mix on here that is live, then that makes me happy that Im putting this mix on here because now somebody who wants a mix that doesnt end after 70 minutes has options. Whats wrong with having mixes on here with good tracks and flow and mixing purely for listeners, and not dj critics? I dont care to become a professional DJ, its just a hobby for me, I have a good job, but when I make a mix, I like to share it. I was just wondering if anyone had downloaded it.
Also, I want to say that I think beatmatching at parties is much harder because with the music cranked loud, its definitely much harder! At least for me....

ill agree when you really know your stuff and you get into a flow long sets can be easy, there have been so many times ill be playing for like 2 hrs and i just dont wanna stop, most i ever went was almost 3 hrs,
see what i find on here, is alot of djs just take a bunch of tracks and mix em together, but with trance its not just about putting a bunch of tracks together, fuck my grandma can do that hahahaha, when i listen to a set or book a dj, i look for a few things, over all track selection, the flow of the mix, and yes of course beatmatching, but rarely have i found a dj who is top notch at that,
and mate its good that your doing it cause you love it, alot of the best djs were like that, dont ever give up something you love, i know trance and djing will be with me for life, its a passion to me,
keep it up mate

he actually uses Ableton, along with production gear, has like three laptops, all hooked up to the cdjs and mixer,
ya and it is true, alot of djs, have never touched vinyl, its so funny hahahaha, i miss using mine, but just cant afford to buy them anymore, still got a few crates,
but cdjs are the way to go these days, to me i dont see much of a diff, except that cdjs sound alot better, and you dont get that crackling and popping sound, oh and the good thing about cdjs now, well the pioneer 800,s and 1000,s you can basically be a pro at scratching in no time, all you gotta do is use the cue and the cross fader hahaha, so gay but hey people on the floor wouldnt know

dont mind whoever posted that stupid comment about the mixing being automated and how hed liek to see u do 4+ hours mixed in and out of each track.
even the worlds number one dj..pvd..uses 2 laptops to mix.
he basically automates it and takes the off time to sample from future tracks and layer it over his current stuff playing so it sounds smooth.
ever wonder why his mixes sound so perfect?
so yeah. case in point..he posted this for u to appreciate it not to critique his for of mixing. id say at least 50% of the DJ's that called themselves that have never even touched a record in their lives. you wanna call yourself a dj? get familiar with the original stuff used. VINYL. master that. |

No kidding. There are so many DJs that just slap together 15 tracks to call it a set. There's nothing wrong with that, but there's nothing exceptional either.
