Serra...GSP...Wtf!!

I was calling third round but GSP didnt look like he had the will of the warrior like he did against hughes.

my favorite line was when those two guys who hated each other fought and the 19-0 (Eddie Sanchez) finally lost and it was kind of a boring fight. So the winner get the mike and says "BOooooooooo. Yeah you might not like it Texas, but guess what? Now hes 19 and OOOOOOoooooonnnnnnnne!"

Mirko is fighting in 1 or 2 weeks against Gonzaga, it'll be on Spike 9pm the day of the fight on tape-delay (the card is being held in the euro)



as for Serra v GSP, total rofl. J.Silva and Dana had already gotten the paperwork signed for Hughes/GSPIII under 5 rounds. It's awesome when grapplers outskill strikers, but its insanely fucking awesome when a grappler outstrikes a striker.

Serra must be a rich mofo if he put $5000 on himself

Pride fights are too boring. The refs dont make em fight. also, UFC owns pride. Literally. They are run by the same people. Ive watched to many circle-for-15-minutes matches to be entertained by it.

Also, the former heavy weight champion of pride came over to UFC last night and now mirko is making the rounds. Its a big draw.

What sux, are the GSP bandwagoners, first it was Lidellites, maybe this loss was a two edged sword for Pierre, and the bandwagon fans go away and jump on some other fighter, GSP is still my favorite fighter even after this or the next loss.

actually on the contrary, pride issues yellow cards that deduct the fighters purse if they are inactive. The last pride under dream stage ent. was last night also, I stayed up til 4 watching, and they were all 1 round fights....granted 1 round = 10 mins, but that is the advantage of pride. the most boring part of the night was ufc's jeff monson huggin fujitas leg, although that wasnt even boring cause he would work a few seconds later.


but yea the ufc heavy weight division is getting to be exactly like pride was 3 - 5 years ago, its about time they got some real quality talent in there. Plus it will still be exciting to see nog v mirko II.

Randy VS a Pride boy will bring the UFC/Pride FC to a good join.

I just dont like some of the rules in Pride, like allowing head stomps and knee drops. Some of it just seems a little off. I like the feeling of UFC better as it seems to reflect how fighting on the street would work. Its punching down to grappling and people dont typically do aforementioned things like curb stomping someone in a clean fight.

Next few years are going to be good though. The parent company is trying to do some cross pollination and it looks like we got a lot of new blood circulating. woo woo

wait... what? you're saying the lack of regulation against more brutal moves makes Pride less realistic? who fights clean on the street?

sorry if you find Pride boring, but i seem to find it has the better fighters.

and when the UFC gets a champion that can stand up to Fedor, well, then we can talk. yeah, call me a fanboy, but neither Chucky Boy (no matter what he says in interviews) or Randy hold a candle to the Russian Experiment. such a proficient grappler (World Sambo Champion) and an amazing striker (been boxing since he was a kid) all rolled up into one.

i'm waiting to see what happens with the Mirko fights. i really hope he beats Gonzaga and fights Randy.



that guy has what you rarely see in the UFC top dogs; great kicking ability.
