VA - Ibiza Trance Compilation 001 - Mixed By Gil Shwartz 09-04-2002 |
I noticed you had a few minor train wreck, non the less they are train wrecks. And you seem to jump from a few progressive tunes to really happy cheese tunes, and back and forth through out the whole mix. I mean it's fine if you like it that way, but if you are going to send this into the competition you might as well work on the tracklist a little more. You need to sit down and think of what you are trying to accomplish with this mix. If you are going to play a set, than built it up. But if you don't like the progressive than might as well just play all happy house and cheese. Your mix also does not have to consist of all the brand new tunes that have just come out, use some lesser known tunes that a few ppl know of. That will give you a unique style (IMO that is what it's all about). Oh and if you are going to mix with MP3's than please don't use the ones that are in very badly ripped, that just ruins it for the audience. I.E. Alex Barlett - My Angel (Heaven Mix).
Sorry I don't mean to be harsh, but this is just how I feel about the mix.
No hard feelings I hope?

1. What Competition?????
2. I Like Cheesy and i'll keep spinning it until i'll get tierd of it.
3. I do not spin MP3's, I spin vinyls/cds, and sometimes if I find a nice tune on the net, I burn it so I could play it.
but mixing mp3's is not my style.
I guess you didn't read the headline... it sais: "Ibiza Trance" witch means Cheese, check out my earlier mixes and you'll understand that i'm in the scene more than 2 minutes!
And above all, you only commented on the tracklist and not the set itself... and that's the most important thing I wanted to get!
I don't care about the stupid tracklist, the mixing is the one that's important!
Peace out!
