DECOY LIVE [ live instrumental performance ]

Decoy was founded over 8 years ago by Ian Chaplin & Philip Rex. Over that time they have evolved into one of the most unique progressive psy-trance live acts around today. They have performed regularly at Earthcore & Rainbow Serpent, as well as playing at St. Kilda festival, Earthdance both in Melbourne and Sydney, Winter and Summer solstice parties, and most music venues in and around Melbourne. Also they have played parties and club gigs in Sydney, Noumea and Tahiti.

Both Ian and Philip have a long list of musical backgrounds, with jazz being the schooling, and building blocks of their respective careers. They have been active in the Melbourne Psy-Trance scene since 1999. Decoy is building on these foundations to produce music which reflects their backgrounds, but looks to the future, and they believe this to lie in forms of electronic music. The focus of the last 6 years has been with progressive psy-trance, as this is ,stylistically, the music that inspires them, and allows total freedom for self expression. Added to this the fact that the guiding principles and philosophy of the entire outdoor party scene is an inspiration to anyone who has a pulse! In short, music must move forward, and the huge amount of talented people producing amazing music is the most inspiring thing to them.

2006 has been a watershed year with the release of their debut cd “Not Responding to Light” on Israeli progressive label Dance’n’Dust, as well as collaborating with Minilogue on four tracks ( unreleased) ,a remix for Vibrasphere ( due for release in Feb. 07 ) two more tracks on Dusty Nation 3 and writing for their next release, due out early to mid 2007. Their live show features soprano saxophone and upright electric bass

Decoy will be performing a special 90min LIVE show for us, with a full ensemble of Percussion, Strings and Saxophone!!!

CHWEN [ mexico - nebular hypott mex ]

Javier Ponce (aka Chwen) discovered Psy-trance in 2001, and fell in love with the style. Through the sounds of psychedelic trance he found what he was looking for in music: magic - a new way of being in touch with his inner self. In 2004 after 3 years of attending underground parties he decided to buy his own decks. Since the beginning he displayed a lot of talent, and after only 4 months he was invited to play at the first psytrance festival in the city of Ciudad Victoria. After playing at a local party with Trancemission, a well-known progressive trance act from Mexico City, he was invited to form part of their record label called Nebular Hypott, now part of the Iboga Records Mexico.

Since then he has played in almost all of the important festivals in Monterrey: Nebular Resonance 20/08/04, Darkinox 18/03/05, Crop Circles Connection 14/05/05, Mystik Illusions 1/10/5, Equinox 25/03/06, Iboga Records Mexico Label Party (Monterrey) 9/09/06 just to mention a few. He was a resident DJ at Café Iguana, the biggest trance nightclub in Monterrey, Mexico until travelling to Melbourne to bring some Mexican magic to the scene in Australia. He has shared stage with some of the biggest national and international acts in the world such as: Azax Syndrome, Bubble, CPU, Dark Soho, Liquid Ross, Menog, Mexican Trance Mafia, Phyx, Psipsiq Jikury, Psysex, Refer Decree, Rinkadink, Trancemission, Teen Sluts, Tron, Unos Fonks, among many others.

He has been invited to play all over Mexico where he is well known and respected, and once asked to play in the United States. In the near future he will be entrancing us with his own musical project that will create a truly psychedelic experience. The styles he plays ranges from Minimal trance to Progressive trance and Psytrance. In his sets you will find funky beats mixed with magical frequencies and mellow tunes, always creating the perfect blend between night and day leading you into his mischievous, magical, mysterious parallel multi-verses.

OZZY (Tribeadelic)

Deck wizard, producer and sonic sorcerer, OZZY heads Tribeadelic, Australia's premier psy-trance party outfit and record label.
ozzy [ tribeadelic recordings ]

Deck wizard, producer and sonic sorcerer, OZZY heads Tribeadelic, Australia's premier psy-trance party outfit and record label.

Known for his slinky sets and mind-blowing music, OZZY presents an aural assault of the senses. His morning sets are renowned for their madness and never fail to kick up the dust at aussie bush doofs.

As a Dj for many years, and with access to the magical music vaults of tribeadelic artists, Ozzy has played at festivals in Israel, Japan, Noumea, Europe and of course many australian parties big and small!

He set up Treibeadelic Records and with five albums released to smash dancefloors, the label has become one of Australia's best and most popular parties all over the world.
Now producing as "Liquid" with Fractal Glider, Ozzy is putting his experience to creative outlet and after testing their bombs on the dance floor with great success, Liquid's debut album will be released in 2006 on Tribeadelic.

Prepare for the freshest sounds from the melting pot of Melbourne, Australia.

Really disappointed I am going to miss this. It would have been agreat way to celebrate my Birthday but a full moon party in Thailand isnt too bad either.

I am loving my psy these days (especially on Sundays) and I have heard some awesome stuff from Benny, James and Sasha lately.

BRING ON THE DOOF!

Sounds awesome man!

Yo Ben commenting on a thread you started on ITM, I really like seeing emphasis on decor, foreverland was amazing, so much effort and really made it of a experience.
