About 2, maybe 2 and a half years ago, I saw some dual MD players in the adds in the back of the DJ mags. Then all of a sudden they disappeared and I never heard sigh or sound of them again until now. How strange is that?
Perhaps I’m loosing my marbles!

the thing you are referring to is also about 2 years old. I used it cause I was interested. It's shittier than I expected. Cueing is a pain in the a§§. Maybe the memory they used is too small or too slow, but I didn't like it (and I DO like lots of CD players).

I don't get it, why do people always try to reinvent the wheel (of steel hehehe).
Well, there more compact than vinyl. You could carry thousands of tunes with you in a small bag. There more compact than CD’s as well. The MD decks would be great if they were like those new Pioneer virtual vinyl CD type decks. (Sorry can’t remember the name.)

Well you have your record bitches and groupies for the record carrying purposes ... just load up a couple of record bags/cases and promise a few people VIP/Guestlist privileges. They'll take care of the hauling. I still don't see a point of MD players
Records also look WAY cooler. People would actually WANT to carry your cases. Imagine asking somebody to carry your MiniDisc wallet to a party. Not going to happen. It's all about the style, y'know.
