Which Program Is Better - Virtual DJ or Acid Music Studio?

Hi guys. I'm looking to mix some of my fav songs together and put together some well done stuff. I really have no clue about how to go about doing it, but I've heard from friends those 2 programs are good. I don't really care about which is harder, but rather which is the superior program.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance yall.

I've used Virtual DJ, seemed pretty cool to me, haven't seen Acid though.

They all suck imo, nothing beats the real deal. Havenr tried acid either but i've had enough bad experiences with those kinda progs.

If you're gonna use software, why limit yourself to what hardware can do? Might as well use something like ableton.

It's a bit more confusing to learn, but allows a lot more flexibility than the other programs you mentioned. Mixmeister or Traktor are pretty good beginner's programs for someone who just wants to mess around a little bit, but if you're looking to make a serious hobby out of mixing, Ableton is the way to go these days.

Also check out Torq by M-Audio. You can use it internally or externally with real TTs or CDJs or midi controllers. You can add vst effects, loop, etc. It's awesome.

Virtual DJ is definitely the easiest program to DJ with.

Virtual DJ = The Death of Real DJing.

But then again, its rather simple tools DJ can use when they don't feel like bring their whole collection with them. Or to beatmatch . heheh

You can't do real-time mixing with Acid, so I don't know why you would even compare the two.

I use Virtual DJ. It's easy to use for beginners, and has everything you need really if you're only putting together mixes on an amateur level. Just make sure to get a proper skin for it (you can download them from the official website), the original one is ugly and sucky.
