The leader of the blockade said that if they try to do anything that "they have firearms available". So why dont we call in the army to deal with these terrorists? Weve been pussy when it comes to caledonia and they have learned that lesson well. Until we put an end to this kind of terrorism it's only going to get worse.
I say call in the army and end this now. |
I would have to agree with you on this. Its that firearms comment that really alters this. If I were to walk in the middle of Yonge street, put up a blockade in 'protest', and claim access to firearms, I wonder how long it'd last out there...
In all honesty, I find it even more absurd that they announced their plans. What is this, some sort of weak political gesture in demonstration that it is merely a peaceful protest? Its the Canada-day weekend. You want bad publicity? Go to capitol hill, do it there. To disrupt a major supply line, and disrupt a fairly large number of individuals using that venue of transport probably won't garner any sort of sympathy.
I had plans to go camping in Kingston this weekend. Whatever sympathy I may have had for their causes, and as selfish as it is of me, its gone now.
